Wedding Venue And Vendor Tips
Image rights owned by Josh Staley ProductionsHey Friends,
Last post was about Vendors and Venue tips and tricks for your Wedding. I want to continue and speak about one of the most important vendors for your wedding day...YOUR DJ! The reason why I say this is one of the most important vendors you have is because your wedding reception experience is the biggest part of your celebration. A GREAT DJ will be able to not only incorporate your selected song choices but also know the right time to play songs and keep your guest entertained and on the dance floor the whole night through. I can't tell you how many brides were upset their guests either sat the entire time, stayed at the bar and did not dance. You spend the money on a DJ make sure it's one that will make you and your guest happy. Josh Staley Productions is my preferred DJ for ALL of my brides for this reason alone! Josh and his selected DJ's are absolutely amazing and keep your party going and on the dance floor the entire time! Check out reviews for them at www.joshstaleyproductions.com No matter which DJ you select always check for reviews. Happy customers will always leave great reviews so rely on others perception of their experience of a vendor. Meet up with your DJ and see if their personality coincides with yours. When you meet up with your selected choices let them know what kind of music you like. Any specific songs you would like played and any ones that are on your DO NOT PLAY list. If you are stuck on good ideas of songs for your entrance, first dance, etc ask them for suggestions! Happy New Years Everyone! Meagan

When you first get engaged you probably are overwhelmed with all of the things on the TO-DO list. As a photographer I try to help with suggestions with vendors and venues. If you are like me ,you try to do as much research as possible to find the "PERFECT" vendor and venue. So, I figured I would give some tips and tricks that some brides and grooms could use to make sure they find the perfect fit.
Usually brides and grooms chose a venue first. So, they are able to pick the date to make sure their vendors are available. When selecting a venue you will want to see if it first meets your budget, number of possible guest. And if you are able to have outside vendors ( you may prefer another DJ or catering company than provided). Also, check to see if there are limitations on where you are able to photograph. You would be surprised that some venues (none that I would suggest) would have restrictions on where you are able to take photographs. Especially if you are having a wedding at a country club with a golf-course. Some will not mention you aren't able to take photographs by the pond or bridge because their golfers have a higher priority than the bridal party! Third step is usually BRIDAL GOWN SEARCH! When I was looking for bridal gowns, I had a vision of what I wanted. My husband and I were getting married at the beach so I wanted something light and airy. One of the salons I went to did not help choose dresses. So, my bridesmaids were put to the task of having to search dresses based on style and price, needless to say it did not go well and I ended up frustrated. Another salon helped me based on my criteria and budget, the 3rd dress was it! The bridal gown salon you choose can make such a huge difference, due diligence and look up reviews, ask me for suggestions or talk to your friends who have went dress shopping in the area. Columbus, Ohio has some great bridal gown salons to choose from but make sure you are getting the perfect fit :) To be continued on Wedding Venue and Vendor Tips Hey Friends, |
